Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. The professor is also Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of children's memory as eyewitnesses and the use of child victims in court contexts. Prof. Goodman has published widely as well as received numerous grants. She has also received many international and national prizes. She has advised a variety of authorities and government agencies around the globe on policies as well as research related to the treatment of child victims by the legal system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is part of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding member, International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policies and Practice.
